The Perils of Changing to the Gold Standard

Nathan and I are just hanging out in my office (aka The Femme Cave) and I asked him what I should write about. He said I should write about the perils of changing to the gold standard. I told him that was a fine idea, but seeing as how I know nothing about the perils of changing to the gold standard, and furthermore, this is MY blog, I just say that I think gold is a fine thing, but that I prefer pounds sterling. I asked Nathan what his opinion was on the gold standard and he replied “I am con.”
