stabby stabby

On Friday I’m going to have an interesting new experience. I’m having my first Botox treatment. No, not for vanity, (though if it gets rid of my frown lines between my eyebrows I won’t be unhappy) it’s a treatment for migraines. 33 injections in my face, head and neck. I’m not scared, I’m just curious and excited, because if it helps my migraines go away (I have them often) I will be so happy and relieved. I understand that sometimes it doesn’t work with the first treatment: I’ll be getting it every twelve weeks.

I was looking at my analytics for the page, and I see that I have a reader from Ireland! Isn’t that cool!! Hello from Wisconsin.

I’m going to write in my blog a lot more often. Over the winter I was kind of in a bear-like hibernation mode and I basically let everything slide. But… there’s more light in the sky now. I feel more energized and activated. I hope I get more readers… not absolutely sure how to accomplish that… If you refer people to come to the site I would really appreciate it. I do promise to write more, and be a bit more focused.

By the way: check out the amazing new recipe for Wonderful Polish Cake in my recipe section!

Cheers!!

***UPDATE***

It’s 7 days post proceedure, and I have had some rather bad headache, which they told me to expect. Sumatriptan took care of them BOOM! I still see the frown lines on my forehead (Now, Mary… remember why you had this done.) but my forehead feels kind of like… it’s all one piece. I am having a bit of trouble raising my eyebrows, again they said to expect this. I am in it for the long haul. I am patient with it. My NP said that it may take more than one proceedure to get it working. She uses this proceedure herself, so I trust her on this.
