Soup n Music n Games

I haven’t put my tree up yet, but I probably will this week sometime. I usually put it up Thanksgiving weekend, but this year the time is just slipping by me. Here is the song River, which is so beautiful and longing and a little sad. It’s got my mood right now.

Writing is a bit stagnated, the water swirling around in an eddy. I need to get it flowing again. River, indeed.

What I need is a nice pot of soup. I put a new recipe in the Recipe section for a lovely super easy 15-minute ham bean soup. I have a bunch of ham leftover from Thanksgiving (buy a ham get a turkey, why not) so maybe I’ll make a pot tonight. I have almost all the ingredients, just need beans and stock.

I’m enjoying the holiday music from Calm Radio. I am a sucker for holiday music, and they have lovely channels. Good podcasts, too. Calm Radio is a really nice site for listening to tons of different channels, all kinds of relaxing music. I also really love the station Acoustic Christmas from Sirius XM. I think that’s my favorite. I enjoy sharing things with you that make me happy. Spread it around a bit.

Now I’ll share a games I like, that I play using the platform Steam . Sam introduced me to Steam way back when he was in high school. The games are not free, but they are priced right and there are often sales. My favorite game is Life is Strange. It’s a decision-making game where your choices direct the action. I have only done the first “season” but the idea is that the main character is a normal person (in the case of the first Season, a girl named Max) who has a special power (Max can reverse time) and you take her through the story making decisions and solving problems on the way. I believe each story is a different person and a different power. I’m excited to try the new games in the series. next time I’ll feature another game I like!
