It’s a lovely morning in Madison, Wisconsin, “77 square miles surrounded by reality.” I decided to start a blog as a place to post my poetry, blog, favorite recipes and ideas. I recently retired from my job as barista to concentrate on my writing. Nathan, my husband of 30 years (!) was very supportive of my dreams, and together we’re making a go of it.

I have been writing poetry since childhood, though I went through a bunch of years of no writing. My first idea was to write fiction and creative essays. I tried. I am just not a long form author. I prefer to capture a moment, an image, an idea, an emotion, a memory, all the shining crystals forming in my brainbox.
